Cholsey HortSoc runs a number of events each year for its local community, including plant sales, seed ordering offers, talks/demonstrations and day trips to gardens and nurseries of seasonal or other interest. And not forgetting our annual village show! See below for upcoming dates for your diary.
Friday 27th February 2026, 7:30pm - AGM and Talk
Seasonal Herbs—Winter Remedies for Wellness and Wellbeing, given by member Leyla Jane Mehmet
Leyla Jane is a local Herbalist and Reiki Master passionate about reconnecting people with nature’s intelligence and the timeless power of traditional plant medicine. She is currently training at the Betonica School of Herbal Medicine. She will talk to us about using plants as “Winter Remedies for Wellness and Wellbeing”. Giving us an introduction to herbal self care focusing on herbs that support the immune system, respiratory health and emotional balance. Including how to prepare simple teas, syrups and infusions for home use.

Refreshments will be served; non-members welcome.

Saturday 16th May, 10-12 - Plant Sale
Our big plant sale is back, in support of the Cholsey Village Show which will be held in August.
Donations of plants for the sale are much appreciated, in advance by arrangement, or bring along on the day. PLEASE LABEL ALL PLANTS TO AVOID MIXUPS- including variety if known - and especially on courgettes, pumpkins and squashes. Bring a box or bag with you too!
