Saturday 25th May, Plant Sale (10-12) on the Forty

Funds raised go towards the Cholsey Village Show costs (and keeping entry free)

A slightly later date this year, thanks to the cooler growing season. Pop down to the Forty to buy a mix from our range of plant bargains - salads, vegetables, flowers, perennials, indoor plants, you'll find all sorts! If you have spare plants please bring them down on the day - remember to label them properly, including the varieties so that buyers are clear what they are buying.  Remember to bring a box or bag with you to take your purchases home. We accept cash and card payments.

Date: Saturday 25th May, morning.

Monday 3rd June, Abingdon Gardens Visit (afternoon)

"Car Share" members only trip (join us - membership is free for 2024!)

Meet up at the Pavilion for a car share to two neighbouring town gardens in Abingdon, who will be welcoming us as part of the National Garden Scheme initiative (the "yellow book").

"Failford" town garden is an extension of the home divided into rooms both formal and informal. It changes every year. Features inc walkways through shaded areas, arches, a beach, grasses, fernery, roses, topiaries, acers, hostas and heucheras. Be inspired by the wide variety of planting, many unusual and quirky features, all within an area 570 sq ft.

"116 Oxford Road" is a young town garden which brings alive the imagination of its creators. It will inspire both the enthusiast and the beginner. Use of recycled materials, lots of colour and architectural plants. A folly and greenhouse is just one of many quirky features. Raised beds, rockeries, specimen plants, beds of roses and hostas. Pushes the boundaries of conventional gardening. There is something for everyone.

Date: Monday 3rd June, meet at Pavilion car park at 1:15pm, for gardens entry at 2:00pm.

Price: £12, payable at the venue (cash or cards accepted). The price includes gardens entry, refreshments and cakes - with donations going to charity, as per the "yellow book" scheme.

To book/queries: Email cholseyhortsoc@gmail.com. Please indicate on your message whether you can offer, or require, car share place(s). This garden visit is for Cholsey HortSoc members - to join, contact membership.cholseyhortsoc@gmail.com
